Ladies Night Out

No were not talking about a Chip and Dale event

but we are talking about a business that recognizes times have changed and so has who we market to. They recognize that what once worked well is no longer enough. Like today's web savvy real estate professionals they recognize that it is not enough to open a store front do a little newspaper advertising and sit back and wait

They recognize the importance of getting involved in the community and paying back with a variety of programs such as their Huck Finn Youth Fishing Day. They recognize the need for a corporate social conscience.

TIMES HAVE CHANGED!!

There was a time when the male members of our species dominated the aisles of this local haunt. It was almost their exclusive domain with little to attract the average female. Over time it has evolved and responded to the market place. Last year this event had the ladies lined up around the store waiting patiently to get in

What Are We Talking About

We are talking about Canadian Tire, A store that is holding a Ladies Night Sunday April 19th, 6:30 to 9:30 pm where every lady who enters will receive a free give away and have the opportunity to win one of the fabulous draw prizes.

An evening where ladies will take over the aisles once dominated by car parts and accessories in search of "Ladies Only" bargains such as, one of the one hundred, 11 pc Lagostina Padova cookware sets that are marked down from $519.99 to a low of $159.00

A store that recognizes the power of the purse

Just as the Real Estate Industry has changed to meet the changing demands of the market place Canadian Tire has evolved from what was predominately an automotive store, where the auto service center and automotive section dominated the store, to today's store where the automotive section occupies less that 1/3 of the retail space, a store that competes in the same market place as Wallmart, Home Depot, and other major retailers.

Not a Chip & Dale event??? awwwwww????!!!! LOL :)

I have not heard about this, Kathy.  Is this just one store in your area, or are they holding this at moer stores?  I may have to call to find out, because I've been eyeing that Lagostina set for a long time.  (I have 2 Lagostina pots that I've had for 26 years, and they are still like new and I love them.)

Liz - As I read the add I realized how much they had changed and how much we had changed in how we reach out to the market place and what the expectations are of those we are trying to reach.
